Project Description

At the beginning of the COVID-19 State of Emergency, Los Magueyes owner Hector recognized that services such as DoorDash were taking too large a share of the restaurant’s revenue—particularly on orders customers were picking up themselves. He approached us for an affordable system that could eliminate the middleman while keeping the restaurant accessible to its customers.

We designed and developed a custom ordering application directly within the restaurant’s website. Customers could place orders online, while restaurant staff could accept or decline requests in real time and track each order through the preparation process.

The system also included intelligent order controls that allowed online ordering to be paused when the kitchen became too busy. This helped the restaurant protect service quality, manage demand, and retain more revenue during an exceptionally difficult period for the hospitality industry.

The project demonstrates how custom web development can solve an immediate operational problem—not simply improve a company’s appearance online.
