About Tarheel Media
Tarheel Media is a brand of MLW And Associates, LLC, a Limited Liability Company of North Carolina. We have over 20 years’ experience in Web Development, Web Design, Digital Marketing, and Website & Server Hosting starting as a DBA of an individual and growing to the company we are today.
OUR HISTORY
Our story starts with the founder, Michael Wells dabbling in web design in the early 2000’s while wrestling with debilitating injuries and disabilities from the US Army.
Through word of mouth, Michael gained popularity in the Goldsboro area and soon opened an office on Berkley Blvd in Goldsboro, NC and officially created the DBA Goldsboro Web Development.
Noticing that the company was growing and needing more employees, Michael formed the company MLW And Associates, LLC to take ownership of the Goldsboro Web Development DBA.
MLW And Associates, LLC served Wayne and surrounding counties for almost two decades before a hurricane and suggestions from a lot of business savvy people convinced Michael to move his company between Goldsboro and Smithfield to better serve both cities.
MLW And Associates, LLC opened an office in Princeton, North Carolina. During and after the COVID lockdowns, the office in Princeton was closed as the client portfolio grew well-beyond the local area to encompass Virgina, Georgia, and South Carolina.
It was this time that the decision was made among the managers of the company to abandon the Goldsboro Web Development name and adopt a new DBA and brand, Tarheel Media.
Today, the company is based in Graham, North Carolina as the company reaches into western Tennessee with clients spanning into Maryland and Alabama.

We believe in the principals of Christianity and a strict moral code that compels us to maintain integrity, accountability, and transparency. For many years the Bible verse Colossians 3:23 has been sitting in the footer of Goldsboro Web Development which says,
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;
We believe we can spread the Word of God through excellence in our God-inspired work.

Goldsboro Web Development website launches as a DBA of Michael Wells.
MLW & Associates Formed
MLW And Associates, LLC is formed under North Carolina and Michael and Kimberly are made managers of the LLC.
Tarheel Media Launched
MLW And Associates, LLC launches the Brand Tarheel Media to unify the services of Goldsboro Web Development and Goldsboro Networks.
Tarheel Cloud Launched

Tarheel Media launches it’s first flagship service, Tarheel Media based on the open-source project, NextCloud.
